For the second year, this coming weekend Fuquay-Varina will host the WRAL Freedom Balloon Festival. This is a large, outstanding event. We are fortunate to have it, and there are other Triangle communities that would love to snatch this one away from us. This means the Balloon Festival is worthy of and needing our support!
It is going to be a nice weekend, so please make the effort to come out to Fleming Loop Park and check it out! There is no entry fee. The event starts Friday afternoon, and runs through noon Monday. I especially recommend attending the nightly Glow event, when all the Balloons shine with their colors ablaze. Last year I took so many pictures I realized I wasn’t actually experiencing the beauty, so I reluctantly put my phone away… I think I’ll leave it home this year! I hope to see you there!

A Special Commissioning June 4th
I can’t tell you yet who is being commissioned June 4th, Pentecost Sunday, but I can tell you this will be a meaningful service you will not want to miss! The commissioning will happen as part of our regular 9:30 am worship.
