10/23/2017

We are in Jamaica today, and I got to go swimming in the ocean with my mother. Not bad for 90! I’m enjoying this time with family.

I hope you have a safe and blessed Thanksgiving. Please take a moment to given thanks from the heart for the many ways the Lord has blessed you. Here is a prayer that might help:

Almighty God, Father of all mercies,
we your unworthy servants give you humble thanks
for all your goodness and loving-kindness
to us and to all whom you have made.
We bless you for our creation, preservation,
and all the blessings of this life;
but above all for your immeasurable love
in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ;
for the means of grace, and for the hope of glory.
And, we pray, give us such an awareness of your mercies,
that with truly thankful hearts we may show forth your praise,
not only with our lips, but in our lives,
by giving up our selves to your service,
and by walking before you
in holiness and righteousness all our days;
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit,
be honor and glory throughout all ages. Amen.

Please take a look at the announcements below. We have a number of important things coming up, and for $1 per minute, I’m not going to take time refreshing announcements from last week.
See you Sunday!

F-V Parade December 3rd
Each year at the Parade we have a CTR Nativity Float and walkers distributing candy and information about CTR to the crowd of people lining the streets.

1. Kids and adults are needed to be in costume on the float, and the more walkers we have alongside the float, the better! If you would like to participate, see Ruth Hawk or sign up online here: https://memberhub.com/HSR2309I8534

2. Taping Party Friday, December 1st
We need a crew to help tape candy onto the cards given out at the parade, which gives us a chance to have a party! Join us at Eric & Susie Olson’s 7pm on Dcember 1st. Bring finger food or a dessert and beverage of your choice.
